It was one killer wedding cake!

A film buff couple from Texas stunned guests at their nuptials when they wheeled out a dessert featuring their own severed heads.

The newlyweds told ABC they are huge fans of scary movies and the idea came to them one evening as they watched a horror flick.

“I was always interested in sculpting lifelike cakes, especially in the face, so I thought, ‘How neat would it be if I did our severed heads?’” Natalie said.

Wanting to see their guests’ reaction, they kept details of the confection quiet until it was unveiled at the Alamo Drafthouse movie theater in Austin.

“I didn’t tell anybody about it, so it made it really interesting to see people’s reactions. Everybody was shocked and loved it,” the bride said.

But she did confess that her grandma was “not so keen,” although “she appreciated the detail and how realistic it was.”
