1. Joined at the hip: It’s great to be in love with
someone and spend time and do activities with him. But it doesn’t mean
that you have to behave like conjoined twins! A lot of couples,
especially those who’ve just started going out, tend to ignore going out
with their friends, as they are always spending all their time with
their new love interest. What’s more, they tend to share everything
between them! Don’t do that.
2. Playing hard to get: How many times have you had a fight with your partner and then ignored him for hours, just so he gets agitated and keeps trying to get in touch with you? While you may think keeping him on the hook will get him more interested, it doesn’t always work. You could lose him with this attitude. It is one thing to be mysterious and another to be egoistic and hard to get.
3. Hiding the past: Everyone has a past — memories of ex-boyfriends, souvenirs, photographs etc — the list is going to be endless. While you don’t have to throw your past in your current partner’s face all the time, it does mean that you have to pretend like it didn’t exist either. Talk it out with your partner and discuss what is acceptable and what’s not when it comes to discussing your respective pasts.
4. Don’t be the first one to say ‘I Love You’: Many people, especially women mask their true feelings and believe that a guy should make the first move, especially when it comes to confessing about feelings! Just because stereotypes suggest that a girl should wait for a guy to propose, it doesn’t mean that a girl can’t do the same. If you really love him, don’t wait for him to reach the same conclusion. Instead, be brave and tell him your feelings. He’ll be pleasantly surprised!
