Kate Henshaw Credits ‘Nigerian Spirit’ For Nollywood’s Progress

 


Veteran actor, Kate Henshaw has said that the progress achieved in the movie making industry in Nigeria is as a result of the ‘Nigerian spirit’.
 

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, she said that the major catalyst in the success story of Nolloywood is “the Nigerian spirit which is resilient and dogged.

However, the micro-biologist turned actress agreed that “yes we need to polish up on our technical angle but we are the only ones who can tell our story ourselves.”

She went further to say that the movie industry needs a training school for cameramen and editors because their skills are crucial to helping the  director’s achieve their aims in film production.

She added that production by certain individuals including Kingsley Ogor, Amaka Igwe, Tunde Kilani can be compared to other international producers.
