Governor Kwakwaso donates N1m to Abuja International Film Festival

 
Just few hours after the 10th Abuja International Film kicked off with an interesting anniversary ceremony yesterday at the Silverbird Cinema, Abuja, Nigeria, the executive governor of Kano State, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso donated a sum of N1m to the festival.

The donation was made public by Alhaji Ahmed Delutu, the DG of the Kano State Films Censors Board, who represented the governor at the event.

According to the governor’s speech, the donation is to support and keep the passion and energy with which the team had consistently organized the film festival for 10years continue.

In attendance were Honourable minister for Tourism, High Chief Edem Duke, Helen Otagbor, Segun Arinze, Charles Novia, Emeka Ossai, Prince Emeka Mba, Andy Amenechi, Iyen Agbonifo, Fidelis Duker, Bimbo Manuel, Aminu Kura, Lancelot Imasuen, Jumai Joseph, Cynthia Agholor, Alhaji Yakub Tanko Abdulahi, Mike Nliam, Alhaji Ahmed Delutu and Mrs. Sally Mbanefo.
