Manchester City crush Arsenal 6-3 to reduce gap at the top

anuel Pellegrini’s men continued with their excellent form at home today, defeating league leaders Arsenal 6-3 in a thrilling encounter.
 Sergio Aguero opening scoring in the 14th minute, smashing in a flick-on from Demichielis, before Walcott curled in the equaliser in the 31st minute. Zabaleta’s cross found Negredo in the box and the Spanish striker gave City the lead at the break.

Five minutes into the second half, Fernandinho swept in the third goal for the hosts, befor Walcott latched onto an Aaron Ramsey dink to pull Arsenal back momentarily.

David Silva converted from close range and Fernandinho lifted the ball over Szczensy, to put City 5-2 ahead. And there was time for two more goals – Per Mertesacker headed in the third for the Gunners, while Yaya Toure scored from the spot, to reduce the gap between them and Arsenal to three points.
