Ebele Odilia Onwuanibe. 18 year old Ebele went missing on the 23rd of July. The last family member who saw her was her mother who took her to the park in Lagos and she was wearing a jeans skirt and top. Ebele was on her way to Nnamdi Azikiwe University to write post UTME.
She chatted with her sister briefly on whatsapp and then her phone went off the radar. The person she was supposed to meet up in Awka hasn't seen her. Her mother has also gone to the park to get the manifest but Ebele used an alias and there is no record of any accident.
Please , they think she may have lost her phone and is stranded. If you have any information, please contact her sister on: 08037626344. Ebele's number is 08168512318 (it has been switched off)

How Police,Hoodlums allegedly killed an undergraduate, friend

Policemen attached to the Badagry Police Division, Lagos State, and some hoodlums have been accused of killing a 25-year-old undergraduate of Delta State University, Ifechukwude Nwainokpor, and his friend, identified simply as Kazeem.
An eight-minute video clip of the gruesome killing, which was made available to PUNCH Metro, showed the two victims handcuffed together. They were covered in their own blood and beaten to death with sticks. Tyres were also put round their necks
An irate mob could be seen in the video, shouting, “die, die, burn them, burn them.”
At some points in the video, a policeman was seen interviewing the boys. He asked who sent them (victims) to rob the area, an accusation they denied. One of the hoodlums, holding a sharp object attempted to cut off the private part of one of the victims.
Nwainokpor could be seen pleading with the hoodlums and policemen to spare his life, saying he could identify himself if given a chance. His plea, however, fell on deaf ears.
Our correspondent, who visited the family of Nwainokpor on Tuesday, learnt that the lynching took place around 3pm on July 21, 2013 in Ajara area of Badagry, a community not far from Nwainokpor’s family home.
His father, Samuel, told PUNCH Metro that his son was arrested while passing through a street in the area but a misunderstanding later ensued and the hoodlums pounced on him and Kazeem.
He added that Nwainokpor, who was nicknamed Ify, was a final year student of Geology and Mining.
He said,
He added that when the youth saw two unknown young men, they accosted them and an argument ensued. He said the youth called the head of the vigilante group in the area, one Asiribo.

“On that particular day, I was in Ghana when I received a telephone call that I should come immediately. My wife was in Delta State taking care of her mother.Samuel said because there had been a robbery in Ajara four days earlier, some of the residents were on the lookout for strange faces.
“When I arrived two days later, my relatives and the caretaker of my house told me that my son was killed in the Ajara area along with his friend. I was devastated.
“I got my son a temporary job with a Customs licensed agent since their lecturers were on strike. He worked everyday except on Sundays when he visited his friends. On that day, he went to see Kazeem and they were strolling around Ajara.”
He added that when the youth saw two unknown young men, they accosted them and an argument ensued. He said the youth called the head of the vigilante group in the area, one Asiribo.
He said,
“Asiribo came to the scene with a locally-made pistol and handcuffs. He handcuffed my son and his friend before asking them questions.Samuel said Asiribo’s death infuriated the youth, who blamed the boys for his death.
“Later, it was decided that the boys be taken to the Baale, Agano Oniyon of Agamade Ajara. But as they were going, Asiribo, while trying to return his gun into its pouch, mistakenly shot himself in the stomach and died.”
“The mob picked up sticks and beat them to death. Policemen were there,” he said.Holding back tears, the retired immigration officer added that the police treated the matter as a robbery case. Beating his chest, Samuel said there was no way his son would have been involved in armed robbery.
He said,
“I have been living in Badagry since 1982. I have only two children and Ifechukwude is the first. Ironically, he was born in that same area where he was killed.Nwainokpor’s boss, Aloysius Onyenibedi, described him as an honest and hardworking person.
“I have lived in this area without any trouble and the residents can tell you that my sons are good boys.”
“I trusted him to the extent that I used to keep a lot of money with him. He was good to my children and was honest,” he said. The Nwainokpor family berated the Divisional Police Officer, Badagry Police Station, Dankoli Mohammed, for the manner he treated the case.
Samuel said when he approached the DPO, he was told that his son was killed at midnight for armed robbery.
He said,
“When the policemen came to take the corpses, guns were planted on them. Policemen at the station told the DPO that they were robbers. Their corpses were taken along with that Asiribo to Badagry General Hospital’s mortuary.
“The following morning, the DPO released Asiribo’s corpse for burial without investigation. My relatives went to the station and after showing the DPO the video, the matter was transferred to the Area K Command.
“At Present, Asiribo’s son has fled, while the DPO has been unable to identify the policemen who were present at the scene when my son and his friend were killed.”
Woman sets 11-yr-old maid ablaze over a piece of meat (Photo)

Policemen at Bode Thomas division of Lagos State command, Tuesday, arrested a woman who allegedly set her 11-year-old house maid ablaze in Surulere area of Lagos, for stealing a piece of meat from her pot of soup.
The maid identified as Ita Bassey-Eno who reportedly escaped death by the whiskers, is currently at the Burns and Trauma Centre of the Gbadaga General Hospital, with doctors battling to save her life.
Although her mistress, a staff nurse at an undisclosed hospital in Surulere, Mrs Nkese Iroakazi, reportedly denied the allegation at the police station, the ailing girl was said to have managed to state that she allegedly poured kerosene on her before striking a stick of matches to set her on fire.
The incident, as gathered, occurred last Saturday at 7, Adeniran Ogunsanya Street, after Ita rushed out of the apartment with fire on her, apparently in an attempt to plunge into a gutter. Unfortunately, she reportedly fell before she could get to the gutter.
One of the residents was said to have succeeded in putting out the fire with the aid of a fire extinguisher, before she was rushed to the hospital.
Eyewitness account
A resident who simply identified herself as Morakinyo told Vanguard: “I was just alighting from the bus when I saw people gathered in front of the building. When I got there, I saw Ita whom we all call Eno on the floor. Then, the flame had been put out.
“Two men who attempted to carry her into a car could not because the skin at that time had peeled off. They had to get a slab, placed her on it and rushed her to the hospital. From what I gathered, the girl has spent barely one month in Lagos before the incident.
“She was brought from her village in Akwa Ibom State last month alongside another girl called Happiness. Since then, we have not seen either of them going to school.
“We heard that while Happiness was in the sitting room, there was a cry from Ita in the kitchen and before she (Happiness) knew what was happening, Ita rushed out of the kitchen and straight to the road shouting for help.
“How could someone who has children of her own treat another’s like this? It was even the residents that alerted policemen who came to pick Mrs Iroakazi.”
95% burns
When Vanguard visited the hospital, Tuesday, a doctor who spoke on condition of anonymity expressed fear about the victim’s condition, revealing that she suffered 95 per cent burns.
“It will take a miracle for her to survive. In any case, we are trying all we can to ensure she gets back on her feet. That will entail some surgeries because her private part was badly damaged.
“Currently, she wears pampers and that area needs immediate surgery after the injuries would have healed.”
Ita was sighted with bandage all over her body, except her face and feet. When a nurse approached her to administer the day’s treatment, she groaned in pains.
As at 3 p.m yesterday, police sources told Vanguard that the suspect would be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba for further investigation.

The second photo below is by 25 year old receptionist, Faith Obae 25 who lives London. She posed as Beyonce.
She says: “A few people have told me I look like the singer, so I jumped at the chance to have a spray-paint treatment like hers.
While 26 year old Layla Elsaeh said
“Holding the pose was so difficult. They had to count me in, I’d hold it for a few minutes, then relax.“You couldn’t stay still in that pose for very long, so if Rihanna can do it, she is incredibly fit.
I think the first girl(name sounds Nigerian) would pass for Beyonce. She rocked the pose. The 2nd girl looks really uncomfortable..lol

Funke Akindele's enstranged husband recently revealed he was building a one-storey building for her before she left.According to a report by E24-7 magazine, this is what the real situation is.
“That place is not for me, I have been through hell and back,” she told E24-7MAGAZINE on Friday.
After she ignored him, he sent her another text abusing her and calling her names. “So you can see that he does not mean well for me,” she re-iterated. E24-7 checks frevealed as at Saturday evening Kehinde was combing the nooks and crannies of Ikorodu to locate Funke's dad's house. He boasted: “I will do anything to win my wife back.”
“That place is not for me, I have been through hell and back,” she told E24-7MAGAZINE on Friday.
"I was abused emotionally and verbally. Really, I felt we could work things out when the trouble started two months after the marriage, but I made up my mind and shut the door of the marriage at him when the trouble was coming to me too much. I stooped to conquer him; buried my fame and name to make him my husband, but it did not work.I Think there is some manipulation from the devil going on,click link for more.
At a point in time, I asked if it's not the same man that was all over me before we married. He nearly got me off my career. He called me severally; I did not pick his calls but when he realized my silence was tormenting him, he took to Facebook. It's alright. Ask him when did he come to my house last? He left me here in my rented apartment with nothing and he will just dash in and dash out. He gets abusive, caustic anytime we have a misunderstanding and often told me to my face, he's going to his wife in Oshodi.”
At Oshodi, she said, she received a warm welcome from the wife, Fadekemi, but constant humiliation from Kehinde.
“She was really loved by the kids at home; she enjoyed taking them out to eateries and stores. Sometimes, they spent the weekend with her and she followed them to school. The children will surely miss her,” our source, close to the family, said. Now that the cookie has crumbled, Kehinde, she said has been calling and sending text messages begging her to come back.
“He sent me sms that he has seen a buyer for his house at Adeniyi Jones for N40million. He asked me if he should sell it and that if he does, he will buy me a new car and a rent me a new apartment. Why now? I don't need all that, I want my sanity.”
After she ignored him, he sent her another text abusing her and calling her names. “So you can see that he does not mean well for me,” she re-iterated. Staciey Brianar known as Pendo is a Kenyan socialite.Known for her semi-nude pics, she was said to have slept with Davido during his last Kenyan tour which he denied saying
Interview Below
So was this a one time thing then?
Pendo: No, I would do it again. Gladly. I don't regret it at all.
Of course you know now I am gonna ask about the "D". Free reign, choose your own words to describe it.
Pendo: He was perfect.
Nooooooooo, more than that. DESCRIPTION.
Pendo: (Laughing) Ok, ok. Errrrrrrrrrrm, he is much better than your "average Kenyan". He is big. Both length and width. (Giggles) And best part is he REALLY knows what he is working with.
Haha, so you loved ALL OF HIM. (SN: Hehe, see what I did there?)
Pendo: (Giggles) Ha, you won't let this go will you. Haha, no seriously though, he has CRAZY moves, he kept it fresh for a couple hours. I am impressed. Definitely the best...(hesitates) Ok maybe not the best I ever had, but he is up there.
So was this a one night stand or will you be seeing him again?
Pendo: Davido is not only a good lover but a gentleman. Not only did he not publicise the affair, but he left me with some personal mementos to remember him. I don't think a one night stand does that. Plus there is still communication going on. I'm not saying we are dating, but we are definitely still talking. He did not "hit it and quit it".
So what is all this wahala about Davido blocking you off of his facebook?
Pendo : If people had done even a little research, they would Davido does not even have a Facebook account. I NEVER said I was in touch with him through Facebook. I got in touch with him through a good friend of his *redacted* and that's where everything started. He did the intro.
So, seriously, did you sleep with Davido?
Pendo: Errrrrrrrrrrm (laughs cheekily) (There is IRREFUTABLE proof that Pendo did spend the night with Nigerian superstar, if you want to see it plead with her on twitter @LoveStaicey to release it.) In the meantime, have this picture of Davido, topless, in his hotel room from his personal instagram. Maybe Pendo took it #troll
So why did you do this? Do you do this for money?
Pendo: (Laughs) No, I didn't get money from him. I didn't WANT money from him. I did it simply cuz I find him hot and he is pretty legit in the music industry in Africa. Yeah, I am attracted by his talent, his fame, his power, but honestly, who isn't? And people are talking so much because a lot of women wanted to be in my shoes, but were not. I'm not afraid to go after what I want. That's just me. And I am unapologetic for it. I am content that I got what I wanted -which was to know him- and I guess it just naturally progressed from there...

ASSU Vows to stay up to 10years if needs are not meet.

Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Benin Zone, yesterday, expressed the resolve of members to stay at home for up to 10 years than call off the current strike action embarked upon by the union five weeks ago, if the Federal Government continues to shy away from the agreement it reached with the union in 2009. President Goodluck Jonathan had Tuesday, approved the implementation of the recommendation of the government committee on repositioning of federal and state universities. But the Benin Zone of ASUU described as a shame, government's refusal to meet its end of the Memorandum of Understanding, MOU, entered with ASUU in 2009, wherein government promised to release N100 billion immediately out of the N500billion it agreed to pay. The Zonal Coordinator, Benin zone of ASUU, Dr. Ighalo Sunny, said yesterday, that part of the MOU signed in 2012 between the Federal Government and the union was that government will increase the yearly budgetary allocation to theeducational sector to 26 per cent among others. He said: "It is sad that government has failed to fulfill the agreement on the universities. The N500billion is not to pay lecturers but to fund infrastructural decay in Nigerian universities. What that means is that government has not shown readiness to implement same. For us, the solution is simple, honour and implement fully the2009 FGN/ASUU agreement. We believe that the 2009 agreement is the antidote to the debilitatingcrisis bedevilling Nigerian universities." Describing the rumour that ASUU will soon call-off the strike as a folktale, he noted that the union appreciates the interest shown by stakeholders and groups in the crisis, " but that will not stop usfrom finding lasting solution to the decay in our education sector. So, even if it takes us another 10 years, we will remain at home until the right thing is done." No re-negotiating 2009 agreement THE Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, yesterday rejected the Federal Government's new offer of enhanced academic allowances, insisting that government should first implement in full the2009 agreement before any other negotiation could take place. National President of ASUU, Dr. Nasir Fagge, who disclosed this to Vanguard, said after consultations with branch chairmen of the union on the new government offer, members rejected it, saying accepting the offer meant starting negotiations afresh. Dr. Fagge said: "They wanted to make an offer on one of the issues in dispute. They said they are more interested in the earned academic allowances, so they said they want to make an offer just like they did in the first instance. "We told them that the issue is not making offers on any item in the agreement. The issue is implementing the agreement. We have consulted our principal (branch chairmen) and our principal is of the opinion that the agreement should just be implemented. "If we say we are going to start talking about offers and rejections and acceptance, it means that we are going back to re-negotiation. "That is the situation and of course, they asked whether we will still attend tomorrow's meeting where they will discuss implementation of the needs assessment report, we told them that we will be there." The ASUU boss, who said it seemed the Federal Government wanted to reduce the whole agreement to earned academic allowances, said"for us, the agreement has many other things thatare very vital for revitalizing university system in this country." He said the branch chairmen who were contactedon the development rejected any move that would end up in government abandoning an agreement that was willingly signed and that the union did not want a development where a component of the agreement would be singled out by government. "They said (branch leaders) that are not interested in re-negotiating the agreement for now, when you implement the agreement then we will talk about re-negotiation," he said. …asks NUC to account for N100bn varsities' stabilization fund AWKA—THE Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, yesterday, urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to prevail on the executive secretary of the National Universities Commission, NUC, Professor Julius Okogie to account for the N100 billion annual stabilization fund provided by the Federal Government for improvement of facilities in government-owned universities. Chairman of Nsukka Zone of ASUU, Dr. Chidi Osuagwu, at a briefing on the on-going strike embarked upon by university lecturers in the country at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, accused the NUC boss of being a cog in the wheelof university education and development in Nigeria, adding that the strike would not have become necessary if the annual stabilization fund was properly managed. He said: "We have not seen anything done with the stabilization fund. If the NUC has been spending the money as expected, there would nothave been this strike in the first place as the issues demanded by ASUU would have been taken care of. "The EFCC and other agencies of government should investigate this matter in the interest o

Lymphoma is a type of blood cancer that occurs when lymphocytes--white blood cells that help protect the body from infection and disease--begin behaving abnormally. Abnormal lymphocytes may divide faster than normal cells or they may live longer than they are supposed to. Lymphoma may develop in many parts of the body, including the lymph nodes, spleen, bone marrow, blood or other organs. There are two main types of lymphomas: • Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) ( formerly referred to as Hodgkin's lymphoma) - Thereare six types of HL, an uncommon form of lymphoma that involves the Reed-Sternberg cells. • Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) (formerly referred to as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma) - There are more than 61 types of NHL, some of which are more common than others. Any lymphoma that does not involve Reed-Sternberg cells is classified as non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Signs and Symptoms Certain symptoms are not specific to lymphoma and are, in fact, similar to those of many other illnesses. People often first go to the doctor because they think they have a cold, the flu or some other respiratory infection that does not go away. Common symptoms include: • Swelling of lymph nodes, which may or may not be painless • Fever • Unexplained weight loss • Sweating (often at night) • Chills • Lack of energy • Itching Most people who have thesenon-specific symptoms will not have lymphoma. However, it is important that anyone with persistent symptoms be examined by a doctor to make sure lymphoma is not present. Lymphoma Treatment Some form of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or a combination of the two is typically used to treat Hodgkin lymphoma. Bone marrow or stem cell transplantation may also sometimes be done under special circumstances. Most patients with Hodgkin lymphoma live long and healthy lives following successful treatment. Many people treated for non-Hodgkin lymphoma will receive some form of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, biologic therapy, ora combination of these. Bone marrow or stem cell transplantation may sometimes be used. Surgery may be used under special circumstances, but primarily to obtain a biopsy for diagnostic purposes. Although "indolent" forms of non-Hodgkin lymphoma are not currently curable, the prognosis is still very good. Patients may live for 20 years or more following an initial diagnosis. In certain patients with an indolent form of the disease, treatment may not be necessary until there are signs of progression. Response to treatment can also change over time. Treatment that worked initially may be ineffective the next time, making it necessary to always keep abreast of the latest information on new or experimental treatment options. Approximately 30 to 60 percent of patients with an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma can be cured

ASUU Denies any plan to call off strike.

ABUJA — ACADEMIC Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has described as speculative reports that the strike embarked upon by the union over the inability of the Federal Government to implement the 2009 agreement it willingly entered into with the union would be called off this Thursday.
National President of ASUU, Dr. Nasir Fagge, told Vanguard that he was surprised to hear that the union was going to call off the strike on Thursday when the issues tabled before government had not been resolved.
Faggae said: “There is nothing like that (suspending the strike). I am also surprised to hear people say that we are going to call off the strike.
He said: “Our members have made it categorically clear what they want. This meeting we had with government on Friday at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, is just exploratory.
CLICK LINK FOR MORE.
“We are trying to look at issues holistically and see how we are going to address them. So assignments were given to various people that attended the meeting and the expectation is that we will meet tomorrow (today), Monday and look at the assignment given and also look at it on Thursday again.
“So, that is why I’m surprised to hear people say that we are going to suspend strike on Thursday. The mandate of our members is very clear. So, we will wait and see what the Monday and Thursday meetings unfold and then we report back to our members.”
On how long it would take ASUU leaders to convene a meeting with its members after the meeting with government on Thursday, the ASUU boss said “we are in constant consultation with our members, we don’t really have problems with that.
“After the meeting, we will decide when to link up with our members depending upon what is placed on table on Thursday.”
Commenting on the speculation that the union might suspend the strike if the government met up to 50 per cent of the agreement, Faggae said the union would prefer to get to the bridge before crossing it.
He commended the positive disposition of the Joint Senate and House of Representatives Committee on Education towards the resolution of the crisis.
Fagge added: “For us, the interaction we have had with the Joint Committee clearly indicates that they are concerned like other Nigerians”.
“This is expected of the representatives of people. You see the problem has always been that the executive arm of government does not really hearken to advise that are given on how best to address the problems on education in this country.
“We are convinced as a union that the only thing the government can really do for Nigerians is to avail them of education.
“Once you are able to do that, you will see that people will be able to generate jobs and they will be able to take care of themselves and contribute to nation building. So that is the argument we are placing on the table.”

"Why they Call me Oprah of Africa" - Mo' Abudu
22:31
2 comments
, Mo Abudu said on her twitter handle in affirmation of her place in talk show business. The screen goddess was full of gratitude and prayers as she saw the dream of Ebony TV come into fruition two weeks ago. “For all your support, thank you. For your prayers, I am grateful. This has to be God”. The launch of the Tv show was one that drew the Lords of the global scene to each other or what could have made Steve Forbes, the owner of the reputable Forbes Magazine, hop on a plane to catch an unusual appointment in Nigeria? Or who could have been able to pull together an assembly of stars and the best of Nigerian celebrities on a voyage of exhilarating fun that lasted six hours? It was Mosunmola Abudu, that delectable television personality and host of popular television show, Moments With Mo. Recently at the Eko Hotel and suites, the likes of Chief Ebenezer Obey, King Sunny Ade, Genevieve Nnaji, D’Banj, Rita Dominic and a host of others were on hand to witness the launch of Ebony Life TV, a project that registered Mo Abudu in history as the first woman to own a television network in Africa. It was like the fusion of dreams for her as she took to her twitter handle that day and tweeted. ”I want to thank my mother and my children. Thank you for understanding me always. I am humbled and extremely grateful. I am filled with so much excitement tonight. After all the hardwork, EbonyLifeTV is about to take off! For all your support, thank you. For your prayers, I am grateful. This has to be God”. The TV host, seven years ago, berthed the Moment With Mo, which became the darling of viewers and revealed innermost secrets of world leaders and celebrities like Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Hilary Clinton, John Kufour, R Kelly and Rio Ferdinand, to mention a few, in no-holds-barred interviews – in the footsteps of one of her mentors, Oprah Winfrey, who is regarded as the most powerful black face on Tv. But it was not an easy climb up the ladder as Mo Abudu in a recent entrepreneurship programme organized by women of West African Enterpreneurship asserted, while at Exonn Mobile,” I tried my hands on a lot of businesses, but “I put God first in all I do, next are my children, every other thing comes after” - Just like her complexion, her Ebony Life TV has a vision of creating contents that speak to Africans, with a focus on people within the ages of 18 and 34 who the host regards as the continent’s custodian of the present and the future. The Ebony Life TV that is now being aired on DSTV is set to transform the vision by shining a bright light on the so called ‘dark continent’s riches, with different exciting segments with focus on talented young entrepreneurs, fabulous art scenes, up and coming fashion designers, provocative authors and sassy musicians. A programme will be hosted by singers Banky W and Tiwa Savage, who will dissect topics on skin bleaching, its spread and issues on men’s choice of light-skinned black women. Another programme will feature a specially commissioned movie, New Horizons, which beams light on the plight of women across Africa that are subjected to domestic abuse. Another will feature radio host, Oreka Godis, who starred in Love Lounge where questions are raised on sexologists, life coaches and psychotherapy. Her Moments with Mo, has also launched a search for “young , charming, brilliant , exciting and dynamic persons to co host the long running, but rejuvenated show, alongside its pioneering host, Mo Abudu”. Mo Abudu, who was born in the United Kingdom some 48 years ago, relocated back to Nigeria with her parents at a tender age, where she had her early schooling, before returning to England where she had a Master’s degree in Human Resourse Management in the University of Westminster. A woman of many parts and different interests, Mo Abudu has been successful in TV and her first love, human resources management. She started the Vic Lawrence and Associates Limited, which still ranks among the best in HR Management Consultancy, the Moment With Mo which aired for seven years and metamorphosed into Naija Diamonds and now the Ebony Life TV. She is today living her dreams, and with role models like Nelson Mandela, Bill Clinton and Oprah Winfrey, she is set to conquer Africa. Little wonder one of Mo’s favourite quotes comes from the stable of her mentor, Oprah Winfrey- “The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams”.

ASUU intends on calling off the strike before thursday.

Culled from Vanguard: Here is how they report it. There are indications that the on-going strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities might be called off next Thursday. Governor of Benue State, Mr Gabriel Suswam who dropped this hint Friday said ASUU and the Federal Government had reached agreements on all the contentious issues that led to the industrial action except two. Suswam who was appointed as Chairman of the Needs Assessment Implementation Committee of the Federal Government said after next Thursday’s deliberations between his Committee and the various agencies of government funding tertiary education, all the contentious issues would likely be resolved. Speaking to news men in Abuja after attending a meeting between the Federal Government’s delegation and ASUU, Suswam said that agreements had been reached by both parties on all issues except two. Said he: “We reached agreements on all issues except two. These two issues are those of earned allowances of lecturers and intervention for the federal universities. These are the only issues that are still outstanding.” The Benue Governor further said he believed that by next week after his Committee would have arrived at an agreement on all the issues, ASUU would call off the strike. He continued: ”The SGF would meet with the leadership of ASUU on the issue of earned allowances by next Monday. Then my committee which is dealing with the issue of the needs assessment of the universities would meet again next Thursday and take another look at all the infrastructural deficits which the federal universities are facing. If you go to our universities, you would agree that they are facing infrastructural deficits and that is why my committee would meet with all the funding agencies next Thursday for the purpose of prioritizing all the projects that need to be executed. We are going to invite all the agencies that are involved in the funding of the universities including the Central Bank of Nigeria.” Suswam further stated that the issues on agreements have been reached include: those of retirement age for university lecturers- which has now been increased from 65 to 70 years; the constitution of the governing councils of the universities which has already been done by the Government; the setting up of a pension administrator and the issue of persuading companies operating in the country to set up research centers in the universities. Said he: “As far as I am concerned, if the issues concerning intervention and earned allowances are resolved next week, then the strike could be called off” Among those who attended the meeting were Secretary to the Government of the Federation Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, Minister of Labour, Hon. Emeka Wogu, Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqayatu Rufai and President of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Dr Nasir Fagge

35 year old Brazilian football Legend Ronaldo was vacationing in Ibiza with his stunning wife and cute daughter.
His weight has been the subject of recent criticisms. I say, the man isn't a football player anymore.
He doesn't need a 6 pack..besides his hot wife makes up for his deficiency.

I get my shirts from London, England and USA - Dayo Adeneye, D1

Make we fly??
Celebrity showbiz personality, Dayo Adeneye, popularly known as D1, of the famous music label, Kennis Music and Primetime Entertainment Africa, is an entertainment mogul who revived the music industry. Over the weekend, he had this very interesting interview with a national newspaper - Tribune. See excerpts below:
How did you meet your wife?
My father actually introduced my wife to me. She and her sister had a teacher that lived next door to my father and my father would call me and say ‘look, this lady next door, I need you to meet her’, and I would ask him if he was the one that was supposed to introduce girls to me (laughs). But eventually, my curiosity got the better of me. I asked her out on a date and the rest is history.
What was the attraction and how did you propose to her?
She is a very nice human being. She takes care of my children, and (she is) very beautiful. I proposed to her on a dinner date in London while eating eba and efo riro (laughs). I had a ring in my pocket.
You are known for being fashionable and some people envy your luxurious lifestyle
I have always been fashionable right from when I was young. I like good clothes. I like to stand apart from the crowd. I don’t like to dress loud, but to stand out. I don’t like blending with the crowd, which kind of influences my dressing.
Where do you shop for your wears?
Erm....Let’s see. Most of my shirts, I get them in London, England and the United States. For my native wears, of course, Nigeria. I am not so much a brand freak, but the thing I am particular about is shoes. I love shoes. My favourites are Prada, Gucci and Louis Vuitton.
What is the most expensive fashionable item you have in your wardrobe?
Probably my wrist watch, Rolex
How much did you get it?
You don’t want me to tell you that, do you? (laughs)
Can you buy a 284 million bottle of champagne by designer Alexander Amosu?
(Laughs) I really don’t think so. There is a lot of hunger and poverty out there in the world; that kind of money can be put to better use. It can be used to help poor people than to be spent on a bottle of champagne.
What do you think about artistes exchanging Twitter rants with their producers when the relationships get sour?
I don’t know why anybody would put their business on Twitter; probably they have too much time on their hands. Small minds talk about people and big minds make things happen. So, I am the big mind; I don’t have time to be Tweeting about nonsense on Twitter. I go out and get the job done.
What did you miss most about Goldie?
Goldie was a very funny and fun person; most people who were not close to her don’t know that she was a very down-to-earth person. The Goldie you saw on Big Brother Africa cooking, cleaning; that was the way she was. There was no pretence about her. She was just a hardworking and a motherly person who liked to take care of people. I will miss that about her. She always put her best in whatever she did. I was very proud of her.
How rich is D1?
I am very blessed. I don’t count material things as riches. I count my health, my family, the glorious sunshine and sunset that I witness in good health. Those are the things I consider as my wealth. The fact that I am able to work, play with my children, be a good husband to my wife, and travel whenever I want to – that is my wealth.
Oh by the way, unconfirmed reports claim he recently acquired a N25million Bentley Cntinnetal GT

In an Interview with Daily Sun, the APGA Guber Aspirant
Mr. Chinedu Idigo
Declared his intention to vie for the seat in Awka, Idigo said he would upgrade the state to a “health tourism centre” if elected.
The aspirant, who condemned the situation where people sought healthcare abroad, attributed the development to the degenerating nature of healthcare in the country.
“If elected, I shall make Anambra health sector a major destination for healthcare seekers as part of our tourist potential. We can create a lot of jobs and earn revenue.
“We are blessed with water resources; I shall ensure that livestock production in the state alone can serve the need of both the South East and South South regions.
“Power generation is a major challenge to the people of this part of the country. My intention is to build a power station in the state to empower industrialists and enrich lives.”
He also pledged to consolidate on the achievements of Gov. Peter Obi by sustaining his policy of Anambra Integrated Development Strategy (ANIDS).
