5 Surprising Foods That Kill Your s*x Life!

While we know that dark chocolate and almonds are great aphrodisiac, there are certain foods that can have just the opposite effect on your mood. It is important for you to know about the foods that can naturally ruin your s*x-drive and harm your reproductive health as well. So, take a look at some such foods that you should strike-off from your menu, when you are in the mood to spice-up your s*xual appetite!

1. Artificial Sweeteners
Artificial sweeteners contain aspartame, an ingredient that causes trouble for your body’s happy hormone (serotonin), without which your mood and libido tends to suffer. Not only this, aspartame has other side effects as well, such as headaches, irritation, anxiety disorders and insomnia. So, next time when you are out getting your groceries, pick up some natural sweeteners like honey or jaggery, to keep your health and s*x life on right track.

2. Corn flakes
The anti-aphrodisiac qualities of corn flakes might come as a surprise to many. Did you know that Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, made this cereal as a part of a bland diet to lower people’s s*x drive? So, whether you are planning a romantic breakfast in bed or a quick snack before your bed-time, it is best to stay away from corn flakes.

3. Cheese and more
The dairy products that you get in the market these days are not natural, anymore. The high-fat dairy products, such as cheese, can cause a lot of damage to your body. Overconsumption of such products will induce toxins that will interfere with the production of the natural, mood uplifting hormones like oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone. Collection of such harmful toxins in your body, can also cause s*xual dysfunction in extreme cases.

4. Crispy delights
A pack of chips by your bedside is enough to damage the tissues and cells of your body, along with your libido. These potato chips and crispy snacks are prepared in rancid oils and heated at very high temperatures. Hence, the combination of bad fats and high temperature can genuinely interfere with your mood for love.

5. Coffee
A cup of coffee in the morning can induce a happy mood but too much of it can spike up stress hormones, such as cortisol, in your body. Too much caffeine can cause stress and hormonal imbalances. So, if you are in mood for some romance and love, it is best to decrease the coffee intake from your and your partner’s diet.

US Government On Brink Of Shutdown

USG
The US government is hours away from a partial shutdown, its first in nearly two decades, with Republican and Democratic lawmakers trading blame over who is responsible.

Congress was closed on Sunday after an early-morning vote in the Republican-run House of Representatives to delay key parts of President Barack Obama’s healthcare law.

Republicans have refused to pass a budget unless Democrats agree to the concessions.

The Senate is slated to convene on Monday afternoon, just hours before the shutdown deadline at midnight, and majority leader Harry Reid has already promised that Democrats will kill the House’s latest proposal.

Barring any last-minute action, about 800,000 federal workers would be forced off the job without pay. Some critical services such as patrolling the borders, inspecting meat and controlling air traffic would continue.

Social Security, the American pension scheme, will continue to pay out benefits, and the Medicare and Medicaid healthcare programmes will continue to function as well.

The latest fiscal fight underscored the deep divide between the Republicans and the Obama administration and its Democratic allies.

Republicans insisted the healthcare law was costing jobs and driving up healthcare costs.

Obama has said he will not let the law, his chief domestic achievement, be gutted; Democrats say Republicans are obsessed with attacking the overhaul, which is aimed at providing health coverage for millions of uninsured Americans.

Rehearsing arguments

Since the last government shutdown 17 years ago, temporary funding bills known as continuing resolutions have been uncontroversial.

But with exchanges set to open on Tuesday where people could shop for healthcare coverage from private insurers, lawmakers from the Republicans’ ultraconservative tea-party wing are willing to take the risk in their drive to kill the healthcare law.

The action in Washington on Sunday was limited mainly to TV talk shows and barrages of press releases, as Democrats and Republicans rehearsed arguments for blaming each other if the government in fact closes its doors at midnight Monday.

“You’re going to shut down the government if you can’t prevent millions of Americans from getting affordable care,” said Democratic Rep. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland.

“If the Senate stalls until Monday afternoon instead of working today, it would be an act of breathtaking arrogance by the Senate Democratic leadership,” said House Speaker John Boehner. “They will be deliberately bringing the nation to the brink of a government shutdown.”

How To Attract Men - Three Simple Tips

Are you still looking for Prince Charming? Here are three reasons you may be yet to find him.
How to attract a man?

But not just ANY man...
 ...The right man for you.
What do you need to do to finally run into the Prince Charming you've dreamed of all your life?
What are you doing wrong?

Why do you keep meeting the wrong type of men?

What do men want?

I'd be amazed if these aren't questions which have plagued your mind at one time or another. Maybe they're questions on your lips right now. Let me see if I can help you uncover some of those elusive answers.

First, let me tell you a quick story...
A few days back I took a stroll down to the beach. I wasn't going anywhere in particular. I was just taking it all in. Now, anyone that knows me, and especially guys I've coached will know, I'm all about being open, present, and in the moment.

I'm all about having fun, and I'll talk to as many people as I can, wherever I am in the world. I love to meet people. I love to connect. I just love sharing the energy between fellow human beings. Now I don't know if there's something in the air right now, but at least 5 out of 8 women I spoke to today virtually ignored me.

A couple of them just immediately looked down, pretending not to hear me when I spoke. Two were so busy flicking around on their iPhone they wouldn't have stopped even if a plane was falling out the sky over their heads, and the others just walked on without even cracking their face.

It's something I see SO many times from women, and it's one of the main reasons you can't (or think you can't) attract men.

Here's the deal ladies...
Do you want to know how to attract a man?

I've got news for you. Men are already attracted to you. You probably walk past dozens of guys every day who would like to date you. Do you know why they don't approach you, or why they look like they're not interested in you?

It's because you're so closed off. You look like you don't want to talk. You look like you don't trust anyone. To be honest, some of you look so unapproachable the only guys you're going to get talking to you are cocky jerks and players. Passive guys won't come anywhere near you!

So what do you need to change?
Here are three simple suggestions…

Put down the iPhone!
Seriously, stop fiddling and tapping on that darn cell phone screen of yours. Do you really think men are going to come and talk to you? Most guys will take one look at you and say, "She looks like she's too busy to chat. Or maybe she's working or texting her boyfriend. I won't bother approaching her."

And here's the other thing…
Whilst you're messing with your phone, you can't see what's around you. You can't see that cute guy who's trying to catch your eye from across Starbucks. While you have your head buried in Twitter and Facebook, you're missing so many opportunities to meet people.

Loosen up!
Now, you don't need to go nuts and start flashing your breasts to every man you see, but give at least some small indication you're open to the idea of communication with other human beings. Keep your shoulders back, your head up, and your arms by your side.

I see so many women who stand around with their arms folded across their chest, and it says, "Stay the hell away from me. I do not want to talk!"

Folded arms make you look very defensive, and whether you realize it or not, it will put guys off. So relax a little. Take in everything around you. Open yourself up, and most importantly…

Smile!
Guys are like big children and dogs. We need visual clues that it's OK to approach you. Remember, it takes most guys a lot of courage to come and approach a woman, so anything you can do to take the pressure of us the better.

A smile tells us you've noticed us. A smile tells us you're open. And a smile gives us an indication you're not going to attack us if we approach you. If you see a man you like the look of, throw him a smile, and see how fast he comes to say "Hi."

So you see ladies, it's that simple!

You already know how to attract men. You do it naturally just by being strong, beautiful females. The real question is, "How can I get a man to feel he can approach me?"
And now, you have the answers!

FG Makes $2.525 Billion From The Sale Of PHCN

FG Makes $2.525 Billion From The Sale Of PHCN
The Federal Government has made $2,525,824,534 from the sale of 14 successor companies of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) Limited.

President Goodluck Jonathan will today present the licences to the owners of the successor companies.

A statement yesterday in Abuja by the Director of Communications, Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Mr. Chigbo Anichebe, said: “So far, of the 14 successor companies scheduled for handover, US$2, 525,824,534 was realised as proceeds. Of the amount, US$1,256,000,000 came from the Distribution Companies (DISCOs) while the Generation Companies (GENCOs) raked in US$1,269,824,534.”

The BPE said the Federal Government set aside about N384 billion to settle labour liabilities.

The agency said the President would present the share certificates and licences to the 15 new owners of the PHCN successor companies who have fully paid their bids.

“The presentation, which is scheduled to hold today at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, is part of the build-up to the activities for the 53rd Independence anniversary of Nigeria,” the statement said.

Pastor Says ‘Church Sucks,’ Mixes Worship With Katy Perry, Maroon 5

tony-crank-one-love-church
A Eugene, Ore., pastor who thinks churches focus too much on sin and not enough on connecting people to God, is now trying to appeal to people who have been hurt by churches through a campaign called “Church Sucks” featuring shorter services and music by Katy Perry and Maroon 5 at his church, One Love.

“Some churches have become the kind of place where you point the finger, and you condemn and rebuke and you’re really quick to do it, and so I think that is definitely lending itself to people not wanting anything to do with church and thinking church sucks!” Tony Crank, senior pastor at the One Love Church in Eugene told NewsRealTime.

Since September, One Love church has been mailing out their Church Sucks message to hundreds of homes in Lane County promising a different kind of church.

Among the differences, according to the report, are shorter services lasting just over half an hour, the mixing of modern and contemporary music from artists like Maroon 5 and Katie Perry with worship music, and a leader who is a pastor, not a preacher.

“I just like to have a conversation with everyone, just like I do at the coffee shop if we were talking one on one,” Crank told NewsRealTime.

“There is a perception that to come into church you’ve got to be perfect. Sometimes what that allows people to do is to kind of judge people that we might perceive to not be that kind of stereotypical perfect person. It turns a lot of people off to what the ultimate message of Christ is,” said Kyle Cunningham, One Love Church’s worship pastor.

During his service on Sunday, Crank told his congregation, “don’t get your panties in a bunch” and talked about how his dog urinated on his mother during a recent visit to his home. He then connected that discussion to a message about the church being too quick to shame people for perceived sin.

In a discussion about Pastor Crank’s campaign, however, Beverly Miller told NewsRealTime that the pastor’s complaint might be more about internal church disagreements than reaching people outside the body.

“I’ve never had a bad experience at church, but I could understand if people are maybe regular attenders and something erupts in the congregation,” said Miller.

Ronaldo blames teammates for Real’s derby loss

Cristiano Ronaldo has defended his club manager Carlo Ancelotti  by saying the players are to blame for their 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid.

Madrid are now five points behind their city rivals and Barcelona, who are both yet to drop points this season.

“The manager has nothing to do with it. He is doing a great job. The fault is on the players, we are the ones that have to improve,” he told Marca.

“I am happy with Ancelotti; he is one of the best coaches I have ever had.”

An eighth minute goal by Diego Costa was enough to seal a win or Atletico and hand Real their first defeat of the season.

World record signing Gareth Bale was introduced at half-time for his home debut but was unable to change the fate of his club.

“We have to keep our heads up because the league is complicated,” said Portuguese forward Ronaldo, 28.

“The good thing is that this loss has come early. I have a lot of hope for winning something important this year. I played poorly and so did my team-mates.”

Atletico manager Diego Simeone has urged his side to not get carried away by their surprise start to the season.

The former Argentina international midfielder, 43, said: “In a season, Barca and Real’s financial and individual strength is bigger, we have to use our weapons and take it game by game.

“We have to keep calm, the season is very long, we cannot be over-confident.”

“Call of strike for the sake of our children” – President Jonathan pleads with ASUU

ASUU2

President Goodluck Jonathan has pleaded with the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to call off their industrial action for the sake of students who have been languishing at home for over 3 months.

Speaking during a Presidential media chat hosted by Channels Television yesterday the President said his administration had already released funds to ASUU and he had expected them to call of the strike by now.

His words: “ASUU strike is unfortunate; the Federal Government has made serious commitment on tertiary education but the desired change will not be achieved overnight.

“We started with N100 billion that we injected and we also have funds from other agencies that have been injected.

“Given all that this government has done, I expect ASUU to work with us knowing full well that we have taken all inventory and are attending to it.

“I had expected them to call off the strike by now but the way it is going one can only suspect a political undertone, but I will want to also use this opportunity to call on ASUU for the sake of our children to call off the strike.

“But even if we give ASUU what they are asking for with the present way of university management, there will still be strikes until the universities become autonomous in the real sense of it, particularly in terms of funding and in other areas; unless that, we will still be walking in circles.”

A Tale Of Two Gangs Of Thieves: The PDP And The APC By Fredrick Nwabufo

tinubu-jonathan (1)
In the mythical land of Anything Goes where citizen docility, “lackadaisicality” and tepidity was beyond the crescendo of reason, and where for every abysmal, gut-wrenching and harrowing happening the people quickly gestured with a fait accompli expression, it is well!  There arose a giant problem, an evil tintinnabulation that stole the peace of the people. This was a recrudescent spate of armed robberies in their vilest forms! Armed robberies so brutal that the timorous of the people of Anything Goes was pierced; they were jarred to life, to sordid reality. They could no longer afford to nestle under the cumulus of indifference. They had to act!

The Power gang and the Progressive gang were the two dare-devil armed robbery gangs terrorizing the hapless people of Anything Goes. While the Power gang plied their illicit trade in the daytime, pillaging, killing and raping the people viciously in broad daylight, the Progressive gang under the cover of darkness did the same things with more sinister oomph and aspect. In true assessment, both gangs were Siamese sibs from hell! Nefarious in an unthinkable dimension; turpitude was there trade. However, while the Power gang were brazen, intrepid and far removed from the people for fear of being identified and apprehended as their faces were never hidden in any of their operations, the Progressive gang were surreptitious and devious. They fraternized with the people in the day and robbed them in the night. In fact, they would take the leading role in making decisions on how to combat the menace of armed robbery in the land. In every issue concerning the people, they always came up with an agenda to show that they were progressive. Such was the fate of the people of Anything Goes.

Now that the spate of armed robbery had reached the abominable acme, and the people at their wits’ end, a solution had to be forged. It was in the process of finding a lasting solution to the incubus that the citizens of Anything Goes plunged into the vortex of an insoluble dilemma. In a citizens’ meeting, they summoned the Chief of Police basically for him to render an account of his efforts at fighting the evil plague that had befallen them.  The Chief of Police, in a somber and resigned note informed them that a lack of needed resources was rendering his efforts futile. And that to successfully counter the scourge of armed robbery in the state, the citizens had to decide on which of the gang of thieves to be tackled first and annihilated. Should it be the Power gang or the Progressive gang? With a clear mandate to concentrate resources on pulverizing one of the gangs much would be achieved.

After the peroration of the Chief of Police, the citizens were left to agree on which of the gangs to deal with first. The centre was broken and the human discrepancies revealed! While some spoke kindly about the Power gang forgetting the torture and rape they had endured, others spoke unkindly about them recounting their ugly experiences at the hands of the gang. The same was the case with the Progressive gang, while some citizens spoke subtly about their ordeals with the gang making light of their seamy encounters; others spoke conversely about their misadventures at the hands of the gang. They all forgot that the two gangs were one and the same thing-armed robbers! In the light of the immanent challenge, the citizens could not come to an agreement as there were divergent opinions of which gang to extirpate first. The result was that the armed robbery gangs were left to operate unchecked with impunity and brazen derring-do. The citizens of Anything Goes were by that unfortunate kismet forced to endure the rape, torture and pillage galore.

This is an anecdotal representation of the Nigerian situation as regards the PDP and the APC, and this depiction is not far from the orbit of verisimilitude.

Mourinho Describes Tuesday’s Match As ”The Game We Cannot Lose”
Chelsea will attempt to kick their Champions League campaign into gear at the second attempt on Tuesday when they visit Steaua Bucharest for their second Group E fixture, Goal reveal.

The London club were stunned 2-1 by FC Basle in their first group outing and can ill afford further setbacks with a double-header against Schalke to come.

Chelsea last season became the first defending champions to be eliminated in the group phase and manager Jose Mourinho has described Tuesday’s match as “the game that we cannot lose”.

Ambrose – We can beat Barcelona again

Efe Ambrose in action for Celtic
Nigerian defender Efe Ambrose insists Celtic are ready to wreck Barcelona’s revenge mission and prove last season’s sensational victory was no one-off fluke.

The Nigerian international produced an outstanding display at the heart of the Parkhead defence when Neil Lennon’s men stunned the Catalans with a 2-1 win in the east end of Glasgow last November.

Like his manager, Ambrose reckons memories of that extraordinary night will ensure Barcelona are doubly motivated when they return to town for tomorrow night’s showdown in Group H of the Champions League.

However, he believes that Celtic can again raise their game against the awesome cast list of the La Liga leaders and secure another famous triumph.

“We know it will be even more difficult and dangerous for us, because it will be like payback for them,” said Ambrose.

“A year ago, beating them was unbelievable — so few people imagined that we could beat them.”

“I believe this time Barcelona will be coming full force to Celtic Park. But we are also going to step it up. We know all eyes are on us to see if our win last year was some kind of fluke.

“We have to prove we can do it again at Celtic Park. We are not just playing for ourselves, we are playing for 60,000 fans who are the best in the world.”

Asked if lightning could strike twice, Ambrose added: “Everything is possible in football. We believe we can do it again and we will do it again.

“Beating them last season was one of the best results in my career. It put us into the limelight and we’ve been in full view of Europe since then. That game changed everything about how some people looked at Celtic.”

The Parkhead side warmed up for the visit of Barcelona by recording a 5-2 win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Saturday, which kept them second in the SPFL on goal difference behind Inverness Caley Thistle.

A Georgios Samaras hat-trick was the highlight but there was also concern for boss Lennon when an unwell Adam Matthews had to be replaced before half-time.

Matthews and winger James Forrest, who is back in training after suffering from a mystery virus, were being assessed by medical staff last night as Lennon seeks to finalise his plans for Tuesday evening’s clash.

Liverpool, Arsenal To Make Balo Bid

Liverpool, Arsenal To Make Balo Bid
Mario Balotelli Liverpool are said to be monitoring controversial Milan striker Mario Balotelli for a surprise January bid, just a year after joining from Manchester City.

The 22-year-old and he has found himself once again cast into the negative spotlight with a three-match ban for crass language directed at a match official in their 2-1 defeat to Napoli.

According to MTN Football, both Liverpool and Arsenal are said to be interested in signing the bad-boy when the next transfer window comes around in January.

“I’m a son of God, not man of God” – King Sunny Ade addresses his relationship with God

Music Legend, King Sunny Ade says he sees himself as a son of God and not a man of God as most people think he is!

In a recent interview with TRIBUNE, he said “You can’t just call yourself a man of God. There must be a very strong covenant between you and God before you can claim that you are a man of God. I don’t see myself like that, but if people call me a man of God, it means I have to be very careful because I have not heard from God. All I know is that I am a son of God, not yet a man of God.

I have always been a spiritual person and I have been surviving as a spiritual person since I was born.”

On his relationship with God, he said “There is a touch of spirituality about my existence that I can’t even explain, even as I speak with you now, I still can’t explain it. The fact is that I don’t even know how I have been surviving till now. I didn’t study music, nobody taught me music. Nobody taught me how to play the guitar. But I know it has been God all along.

Nothing else could have sustained me till now and surely no one has, except God. I think people are still looking at me with the impression they had in those days when I was still looking for fame. Those days, I sang all sorts of songs because I wanted to be famous, especially in Ondo town where they worship Ogun. Every year, we worshipped Ogun in Ondo those days, so I thought that if I sang Ogun songs, people would accrpt me; buy my album. But it does not mean that I am worshipping Ogun or anything. “

“There’s no need flogging a dead horse…” Kate Henshaw reveals why she separated from her husband

In a very recent interview with a national newspaper, movie star Kate Henshaw who separated from her husband in 2011 cleared the air on her marital status why she is still single and her career.

When asked why she separated from her husband she said “I just decided that, ok, it didn’t work. Next, I had to move on. There is no need holding on to the past – no need holding on to something if it’s not working any more. There is no need flogging a dead horse since it is already lifeless. And when you decide to bury the horse, would you not leave the grave site afterwards? You would go now. Anything that happens to you now, that sun would still set, another day would come. So, it’s your choice to either be part of the living or be in the grave yard. And I choose to be alive, enjoy my life and smile at everything that is happening – good or bad. As long as God is with you, things would always be fine with you.

I’m not thinking about anything. At the moment, I’m facing my career. If it comes, fine. If it doesn’t come, that’s okay. It’s not the end of the world because I’m convinced that God loves me.

Love has given me more than enough. I have the most gorgeous daughter in the whole world. That’s enough for me.”
