Snoop Still Doggs Out Gay Rapper Idea: "It's The Mentality Of The Rap Generation"

Not in support? too bad....some so fucking themselves real hard..
West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg has reportedly stood behind his belief in the hip-hop community feeling uneasy and not accepting the idea of an openly gay emcee in the culture.
Despite revelations like R&B singer Frank Ocean coming out about having feelings for men last summer, Snoop said he still cannot envision the same acceptance happening in rap.
"I don't have a problem with it. It's the mentality of the rap generation. The mentality of the rap generation is masculine. Macho," Snoop explained in an interview. "That's like having a football player playing in games, and all of a sudden at the end of the season he tells you, 'Hey, you know I'm gay, guys. I like you, too.' It's a different feeling as opposed to saying it up front and early and you dealing with it." ("Big Morning Buzz Live")
Recently, Snoop shared a similar stance when asked about the openly gay rapper topic.
Snoop said we shouldn't hold our breath, explaining "Frank Ocean ain't no rapper. He's a singer. It's acceptable in the singing world, but in the rap world I don't know if it will ever be acceptable because rap is so masculine." He continues, "It's like a football team. You can't be in a locker room full of motherf----g tough-ass dudes, then all of a sudden say, 'Hey, man, I like you.' You know, that's going to be tough." But Snoop made it clear -- it's the nature of the biz, not him -- adding, "I don't have a problem with gay people. I got some gay homies." (TMZ)
Fellow West Coast rapper Too $hort recently said he believes no one should be treated unfairly, especially potential rappers who have sex-same preferences.
And what does Too $hort think of the hip hop community still not accepting gay rappers? "I just feel like at this point in time we should allow gay people to get m

Jim Iyke's ex-fiancee Keturah Hamilton claims she was acting out a script on his reality show

Jim Iyke's publicist claimed last week in a statement that the actor was not in a relationship with Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari because he was still in a relationship with his Jamaican fiancee, Keturah Hamilton. Well, according to a statement released today by Keturah's camp, she and Jim Iyke are no longer a couple. They actually broke up a while back. And she also claimed that Jim's reality show and her role in it was all scripted. See the statement from Keturah's publicist below...

Keturah Hamilton, Model, Actress, and Ex-Fiancée of Jim Iyke is ready to tell the real story after the Jim Iyke Unscripted show that was aired on April 17, 2013.
In a world where reality shows are an "In-thing" and bad behavior becomes the A.M. topic to cover, leave it to Jim Iyke Unscripted or better said the “_Scripted_” show to deliver real life drama. The episode that aired on April 17, 2013, did not disappoint the viewers who were glued to their TV’s watching Keturah Hamilton's role that was none the less excellent! She was really able to bring her character to the next level of entertainment.

"Fuck You" Keke Ogungbe, COSON boss exchange hot words at NEC in Lagos

Hahahaha... already putting out up front beef?well good for my job..*i love gossip*true or not depends who is asking.
This is how the fight started...
Chief Tony Okoroji had confronted Kenny Ogungbe in the presence of journalists for daring to say in public that COSON owed him money.
“How could he say such a thing? And in public?” Chief Okoroji fumed.

However, Kenny Ogungbe on his part remained resilient, insisting he would stand by his words. They exchanged hot, abusive words impossible to publish including the F word as they were pulled apart by concerned friends who feared the brawl may soon go physical.
Kenny Ogungbe further warned that if anything should happen to him after the brawl, Okoroji would be held responsible.
He said, “After now, if anything happens to me, it is on your head.”
The incident happened immediately after the first session of the conference where Mr. Kenny Ogungbe had been amongst a panel of discussants along side Cool DJ Jimmy Jat, Sound Sultan, MI and Weird MC during which pertinent industry issues had been raised. Hehehe..."

Gareth Bale wins PFA player of year award for second time

Tottenham's Gareth Bale has been named the Professional Football Association's player and young player of the year for 2012-13, becoming only the third person to clinch the double accolade in the same season.
Bale has enjoyed another fine campaign for Spurs, scoring 19 times in the Premier League and 14 goals in 17 matches since the turn of the year. The Welshman follows Andy Gray and Cristiano Ronaldo in winning both awards in the same year.
Bale secures the player of the year award for the second time, becoming only the fifth player to do so after Mark Hughes, Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry and Ronaldo, having been voted in by his fellow peers.

25 year old DJ assasinated after receiving a phonecall in Lagos

Culled from emeh achang
The residents of Bank Olemoh Street, Surulere, Lagos, were terrified on Monday when two gunmen shot dead Olamide George, a 25-year-old deejay.
According to eyewitnesses, the assassination was carried out at about 2pm while George was with friends under a tree, popularly known as Abe Igi.
It was learnt that just before his murder, George reportedly answered a phone call, and the caller requested to know where he was. George answered that he was at Abe Igi.

George’s father, Mr. Gbolahan George, said, “I was told that the assassins were four and were in Keke Maruwa (tricycle). They parked at the entrance of the street; two got down and walked to where Olamide was sitting with his friends. The one with the gun did not know him, so the other person who accompanied him pointed at Olamide.
“Immediately Olamide was identified, he was shot in the head and the chest.”
“I was called around 2:30pm and was told that my son’s body was at the morgue in Lagos University Teaching Hospital. He was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. I reported the case at Area C Police Command.”
Gbolahan George said his son was not of a dubious character.
“He is a DJ, and not a scammer. And he is very gentle and pleasant. He wanted to write JAMB and get into Lagos State University.
Really sad.. continue.

“Olamide was also about to wed his girlfriend, Yetunde Adeyeri, who is five months pregnant before his untimely death. And that was why I gave him N500,000 to rent a one-room self-contained apartment at Apapa Road.”
Our correspondent saw family members cleaning blood stains from Olamide’s Golf Volkswagen car with number plate, LND 879 AG.
The Chairman of CDA, Bank Olemoh Street, Mr. Wilson Ojei, said, “I know Lamide as an easy young man trying to survive. Nobody had any complaints about him except for the occasional youthful exuberance, which is common among other young men in the community. From indications, the attack was not from within the community; the assassins were outsiders.
“We have been instructed by the police to cut the tree at Abe Igi.”
The police spokesperson, Lagos State, Ms. Ngozi Braide confirmed the incident. She said, “The case was reported to Area C Police Command. We are investigating the killing and I can assure you that reasonable arrest has been made.”

Penis Enlargement Causes Impotence –Dr. Sylvanus Ettia

Still on the peniss matter, this post was culled from naijaobsever and this is how he reports it..

Size, they say, matters. So, are you considering increasing the size of your manhood? Have you been bombarded by adverts claiming to increase the size of your manhood with as much as three or four inches within three months?

Beware, it can cause impotence! A naturalist, Dr. Silvanus Fur Ettia and Managing Director of Nature’s Panacea & Herbal Remedies has sent an urgent warning that opting for penile enlargement could damage reproductive health in men and cause impotence.
Hear him: “A lot of people are not satisfied with the size of their manhood and there is a lot of advertisement on the web and everywhere promising enlargement with about three to four inches in just months.
Some even claim to be natural herbs. But I want to send a strong warning. It is not advisable for men to do it because it can cause impotence in the long run. Those behind it want to market a product no doubt. But we need to ask ourselves, ‘is there any side effect?’
I want to state categorically that whatever you take to enlarge your penis cannot increase the size of the penis. It will only enlarge the veins that carry blood into the penis so that whenever you have an erection, more blood will rush into the veins and the penis will appear bigger. But when you’re done with what you’re doing, the blood will rush out and it will shrink and the size of the penis will become smaller over time.
Over time, the ability to have an erection will completely go because some tissues in the penis must have been damaged and this will lead to impotence.” Dr. Ettia, a Cameroonian is currently in Nigeria to create awareness about the use of natural herbs in treating and correcting ailments affecting male reproductive organs and detoxifying the human system.

Janelle Monae Covers Essence - Why She Wears Black and White

When asked why she wears mostly black and white, she replied;

"It's a dedication to uniformity and I'm a minimalist by heart, but a lot of it had to do with me wanting to have a uniform like the working class, like my mom and my grandmother. My grandmother had 16 sisters and brothers and they all had to share one pair of shoes. And so that's the family that I come from -- I don't ever want to be detached from that. I use it as motivation for my music and to just keep me centered, grounded.

"I am single" - Dbanj says...

In a recent interview with  Seun Apara of Thisday, D'banj says he's still single because he hasn't found the right woman.
"I have dated a lot of women but I don't really want to talk about them because most of them have moved on and some are married. I don't have any regret at all because I am still young and I am still a bachelor though my mum wants me to settle down. She is proud of me and I do let her understand that it's not that I don't want to marry, I just haven't found the right woman. If she finds the right one for me, she can call me.
Get the rest of the interview after the break..

Today, D’Banj seems to be very happy with the part he chooses as he declares he has no regret. His earnings have increased and he’s gained more international recognition. His road manager revealed that D’Banj now charges N8,000,000.00 and $100,000.00 outside Nigeria.
In his characteristic funny and lively attitude, he sat down with Seun Apara and speaks about his past and future.
First of all, how much do you worth now?
(Laughs). God has blessed me o. Ah, make I no lie (I won’t lie), Oluwa (God) is involved. I can’t start counting my blessings but I thank God.
The latest project from your stable now is the DKM album and it drops in two weeks. Give us an exclusive insight into it?
The ‘DKM’ Album, D Kings Men is a compilation of songs from the artistes on DB Records and is not a D’ Banj’s Album. It has a compilation of songs and sounds done by DB records artistes comprising myself, Kay Switch and J.Sol. DKM album has already dropped on pre-sales online. This is the first time I will be doing pre-sales of any album and I was surprised that in less than three days, the response was massive. I was in Atlanta and I flew back home immediately. I am actually excited about it and not just for me alone. I’m excited that if by God’s grace this works out, finally, it will curb piracy and provide another means of distribution other than Alaba Market.
Are you trying to set up a distribution channel?
Definitely and is not for the benefit of DB Records artiste alone, is for the benefit of all Nigerian acts. The big thing about this is that the distribution of DKM album is not going to be online alone. We have been looking for a way whereby our fans and the masses can get hold of our product other than on the street because I have heard complaints in the past that they don’t get the original copies of our albums. So now, it has been structured in a way that it will be delivered directly to your house, once you pre-buy the album. Then, it will be available in all GT Bank offices nationwide. I can tell you categorically that Fally Ipupa is on this album, Kanye West is on the album and Olamide is also on the album. Another shocker is that Durella is on the album (laughs)
Durella?
Yes, I know a lot of people will be surprised. Wait till you hear the song.
We heard you are also planning an album cum birthday concert?
We are definitely working on the DKM concert and will feature our friends that featured on the album. Other colleagues of mine will also be coming for the DKM concert scheduled for June 2013. It is such a big thing because my birthday is June 9th and we will be celebrating for the whole month of June. The Lord has blessed me and I need to celebrate. We have made such a big plan that when the album drops, I will go on tour throughout the month of June. Any of my fans in any country listed on the tour that already have the album will have access to the tour. The Koko community card inside the album gives them the chance to meet me and groove with me. The grand finale is on June 24th at the Expo Hall of Eko Hotel in Lagos where we will be staging the DKM Concert and my birthday bash together. I am bringing 2Chainz from America to perform at the concert.
I’m aware that you have other businesses, how do you manage all of them?
We have a management company called DKM that handles lot of brands and endorsements. So everything is more organized now with the launch of DKM Media last year. We started with the Koko Concert and that is the first time we did a concert and we wanted to do something different. Let me quickly use this opportunity to apologies to all my wonderful fans that trekked that long distance to the Koko Concert last year. I promise them we are not trekking again this year because we have a solid arrangement.
I listened to one of the songs on the DKM album titled Nonsense but I realized the song seems to have a violence theme. How will you explain that?
When I do my music, I do it like a day to day thing. You have heard Suddenly and Mogbona Felifeli. So this new song you are referring to won’t be an exception. When I say ‘egba ojue’ (slap him), it means enough of negative talks around you.
However, how do you end negative talks around you, it’s simply by stopping the negative things. For example, if you have an Ipad that is messing up, the best way to ‘gba ojue’ (slap it) is by repairing it.
With four nominations at World Music Awards including ‘Best Song of The Year and Best World Artiste’, what is more paramount to you at this point of your career?
What is more paramount to me is the same drive from the beginning. Oliver Twist did number 9 in the U.K top chart, number 2 in U.K R &B and number one in Romania. I will be 10 years on stage next year, though am already more than ten years in the industry but I released Tongolo in March 2004. Within ten years, I have been able to take our music and our culture to everywhere in Africa, Canada, America and Europe. With my partnership with G.O.O.D music and Universal Music,  sooner or later, the whole world will hear about D’banj and other artiste like MI, Olamide and many others .We will  showcase ourselves to the world and they are going to buy our music. The Grammy too is very near because we have won several Channel O awards, Soundcity, MTV, NMVA and many others.
Having done stuffs with few African top acts like Fally Ipupa, Sarkodie and 2Face, is there any particular African artiste you have in mind to work with soon?
I have done a lot of songs with 2Face but I still want to do more songs with him, infact if we do an album together. We will call it ‘Best of Both worlds’.
Having performed at top world concerts like Wireless, Radio 1 Hackney Weekend and few others, is there any particular concert you are eyeing at the moment?
It will be The Live Nation tour and any other major tour that is top class where I can promote African language and culture. I go to some tours and I’ll tell the white people that if you see a rich Nigerian, call him Igwe (King) and they will all shout Igwe. I teach them African languages and culture because I’m an African ambassador. Sometimes they don’t know the meaning until I translate.
What is your utmost possession?
For now, I will say is my distribution. For once, we need to get music distribution right in this country and be able curb piracy. Aside, musicians will be able to make so much money from their works.
What is the true story of your former manager, Bankulli’s exit from DB Records?
The thing is that I won’t really dwell too much on this issue but I want to categorically say everything that everybody has read or heard is a big fat lie.
Infact, I don’t know where that story is coming from. There is a definitely time for everything. Bankulli was a wonderful manager and he is still my brother. He is a good guy but he can’t be flying around with me again as he now does his own things. He still called us for a show recently when we were in South Africa. When people say someone that worked with me for one year is not working with me again, I laugh. My former manager, Sunday Are still gets me shows. People keep spreading unpalatable rumors.
Are you in touch with former partner, Don Jazzy?
Don Jazzy produced four songs on the DKM album coming out soon. I remember when I was in America and they were mastering a song and I heard the one featuring Fally Ipupa which was produced by Don Jazzy and I was like wow!  I called him immediately and he picked up. I said listen to what I’m hearing, this is a music you produced. So don’t get twisted like I said, love is a beautiful thing. I’m a businessman and I do what is right for my business. What I’m doing now is what I have always wanted as an artiste, professionalism and good distribution. I don’t have any regret.
Tell us about your relationship status…
I have dated a lot of women but I don’t really want to talk about them because most of them have moved on and some are married. I don’t have any regret at all because I am still young and am still a bachelor.
Do you feel bothered about it when your mum brings up the issue?
Not at all but it’s a normal thing for mothers. She is proud of me and I do let her understand that it’s not that I don’t want to marry but I have not found the right one. If she finds the right one for me; she can call me.
How do you react to rumors and critics?
It’s a normal thing for people to talk but you don’t have to be distracted. All you need is to stay focused. I want to thank everybody for staying with me genuinely even during the dreadful time. I promise not to let you guys down and you should remember that in everything I do, I’m also human.

Jim

Charity, they say, begins at home. A man who is not well trained at home will be well taught outside. All these African proverbs best describe the situation the Nollywood bad boy, Jim Iyke got inside into the last time.
John Kiriamiti, a Kenyan author’s whose book is been adapted for a film where Jim Iyke would be playing the lead role has advised the actor to ‘stop talking like an American’ and ‘learn how to talk like me to be able to play the role well.”
Adding further, John said, ‘Whoever has read the book has told me they read it thrice or four times and as you know in the book I wasn’t acting I was doing it for real. I hope that translates also in the movie.’
Jim, has been casted for the lead role of Jack Zolo in a new Kenyan crime thriller entitled My Life In Crime.
The movie, is an adaptation of three novels written by John Kiriamiti based on ‘his life as a real gangster’, according to sources.
The three books are My Life In Crime, My Life With A Criminal and My Life In Prison.
Jim will be joined by top Kenyan acts that include Ainea Ojiambo, Janet Kirina, Abubakar Mwenda, Melvin Alusa, Jeff Koinange, Lenana Kariba and Eddy Kimani.

I Am Also A Critic Of My Movies Too – Actress Oge Okoye

Culled from "the nation" this is an interview with oge okoye....
Oge Okoye became well-known after she featured in the film titled Sister Mary. Her popularity grew as she continued to put up stellar performances in subsequent movies she took part in. She is successful woman, proud mother of two children and talented . She has staged a comeback in latest interview where she spoke at length on her life as a mother and an actress. Oge Okoye opens up on a range of issues in this interview with AHMED BOULOR

What was the experience like on the set of the movie Turning Point?
It was a mind blowing and bonding experience for me. I had an amazing time working with all the international stars and my other humble colleagues. We were all like a family on set. Even the director was so soft spoken, cooperative and accommodating. I learnt a lot from his mode of directing which I will put into practice in the near future. I wish such projects will continue to come my way.

What made you accept the role?
The script was an amazing one and the fact that my character was a controversial one in the movie made me accept the role. And with such a wonderful cast and a whooping sum (smiles) who won’t accept the role?

Was it a challenging experience trying to fit into your role?
All the characters I’ve been able to bring to life have all been challenging and likewise my role in the movie Turning Point. My role in the movie was a hectic one; I took up the role of a ‘ghetto fabulous’ lady that lives in the US after relocating from Nigeria in search of greener pastures. The character entangles herself in all sorts of deals and businesses not minding whose toes she steps on to make a living. All she cares about is to put food on her table either by hook or crook. The character was of course challenging and I look forward to such roles in the future.

Was it hectic moving from Africa to America trying to shoot scenes of the movie?
It wasn’t hectic at all moving around but certainly it was hectic arriving and being rushed off to set that same minute from the airport. Not having a shower or a bite or even time to a run down through the script to shoot a scene. Gosh! I felt like screaming but it’s all part of the job and we are used to all the numerous challenges that come with it.

What do you think is the significance of the movie?
I took home a lot from the movie; I learnt that humility goes a longer way than pride. I learnt never to underestimate the power of , never to involve a third party when you are having issues in your marriage and the consequences of greed. I also learnt that life in its fullness is like a clock that rotates, so in our best interest, one should always live a straight forward life to avoid complications. One also has to be nice to people you meet on your way up because you never can tell who you’ll meet on your way down.

Do you consider yourself as an accomplished actress?
Do I consider myself as an accomplished actress? I would say I am happy and I thank God that I accomplished my dream of becoming an actress and improving in my skills, but seeing myself an accomplished actress? Not yet, because there’s still a lot undone that must be done by God’s grace. Only then will I be able to consider myself as an accomplished actress.

Do you think you are one of the most misunderstood actresses on the scene?
I am kind of misunderstood at but that notwithstanding, in life one is misunderstood to be understood. Sometimes somethings are meant to be that way. I won’t be the first nor will I be the last.
Do you every now and then watch movies that you have featured in?
I do that all the time. I watch my movies and it’s mostly on weekends. I am also a critic of my movies too.

What is it like being a mother?
No doubt being a mother is no child’s play but it takes patience, love and care and most especially in the midst of all, being a mother gives one an unexplainable joy inside of you.

How close are you to your kids?
I am very close to my kids. I am their mother and it is expected that I am close to them at least.

How tasking is it being a mother, an actress and a wife?
It is tasking I must confess but at the same time it is a fulfilling and satisfying feeling when is being put in its place. I put my 100% attention to my family and my career. It’s pretty difficult at some point but I have been able to put all in line and fill up the margin by striking up a balance in my home and place of work. I don’t want either part to suffer. It all has to do with planning.

Would you allow any of your kids to venture into acting?
Well, that depends on the child; if that’s what he or she wants. I would support and give useful advise where needed to any of my kids that want to venture into acting. Acting is a noble profession.

What have you been working on in recent times?
I have been spending time visiting the less-privileged homes and schools where I try to meet up with their needs in my own little way. Holding seminars on the importance of education but I won’t forget to mention that I have just set up my non-governmental organisation which is known as Positive Life for Children Foundation (PLCF). The foundation is built on the growth and hope of children. It is aimed at stimulating and encouraging their mental activity. It is about placing priority on the issue of brilliant but less-privileged children and children with special needs anywhere in Africa.

How many movies have you been part of in recent times?
I have really and truly lost of that. I have featured in scores of movies and I can’t start mentioning them one at a time. If you consider the year I started acting you will sum up that I have featured in a lot of movies but I can’t how many movies I have featured in, even in recent times.

Is the movie Sister Mary one of the most memorable films you have been part of?
You bring back fond memories with that question. Yes, Sister Mary is one of the most memorable films I’ve been part of because it’s my first lead role in the industry from the stables of Great Movies Production. The feeling was overwhelming; that was where it all started for me and I am really grateful for having such an opportunity.

How did you feel when you got the role?
I was so excited that I got the role eventually and at the same time so uneasy out of tension. It was my first time and I wanted to make a lasting impression. I did in the end and the rest as they say is history.
